DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a suspicious object in the area of Moss Road, Derry on Friday, July 12.
This suspicious object was examined by ATO and declared a hoax.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police would like to thank the local community for their patience while we worked to keep them safe.
“Keeping people safe is of paramount importance and we will not take any chances.
“Police would ask anyone who was in the area or anyone driving in the area with dash-cam footage that could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1664 12/07/19.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
