Man to face Derry court later this month charged with heat butt assault on female bus driver
He’s expected to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 28, for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow an assault on a female in Foyle Street Bus Depot in Derry on Friday evening.
Police said that officers received a report at around 8 pm on Friday evening that a man had head butted a female driver.
Security staff at the depot restrained the man until police arrived a short time later to conduct an arrest.
The driver was treated at hospital for cuts and extensive bruising to her face.
