POLICE are keen to reunite the owner of a cheque for a substantial amount of money.
It was found in Derry city centre on Saturday afternoon.
PSNI Foyle say: “If you were out and about the city on Saturday, it might PAY you to CHEQUE yourself, just to ensure you haven’t lost anything!
“A cheque for a substantial amount of money has been handed in to Strand Road.
“If you believe this to be yours, please attend the station with some ID to ACCOUNT for ownership.
“It won’t be of any use to anyone other than the owner, so no AMOUNT of blagging will work… You can BANK on that!
“Please quote serial 1168 of the 24/08/19.”
