The Ballyarnett Councillor was responding to comments by the Lord Chief Justice branded the lack of progress “shocking”.
Said Cllr Duffy: “The intervention by the Lord Chief Justice echoes the call of political parties and campaign groups who have challenged delays on legislating for victims of historical abuse.
“The new British Secretary of State has made commitments to bringing forward the required legislation for victims and survivors – he must act on that, because words are not enough.
“These are people who have continuously been let down, time and time again.
“There can be no more delays.”
