Two men released over mortar bomb murder plot on police

Mortar bomb device at Church View in Strabane in September this year

TWO 25-year-old men arrested by Detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit investigating the discovery of an improvised explosive device (IED) have been released after questioning.

The deadly device was discovered close to homes in Church View, Strabane on Saturday, September 7.

Detectives say the incident remains under investigation.
