THE security alert in Derry has now ended, say the PSNi.
A number of home had been evacuated on Wednesday evening, January 15 and part of Bann Drive was closed after the discovery of a suspicious object.
A police spokesperson said: “Bann Drive in Derry has now reopened to traffic.
“Residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
“ATO examined an object discovered at a house in the area.
“It has now been declared as nothing untoward.”
