Said Cllr Logue: “This is a good news story for the area, with plans for 24 new homes being built on this site.
“The number of people waiting for a home in Derry has increased dramatically over the past few years and there is a very high demand for people looking to be housed in this part of the city.
“These houses and apartments will go some way to alleviating that problem.
“It’s also very important from the outset that any new development is built in full consultation with local residents.
“As councillor for the area I will be working to ensure that this happens.”
