IF you haven’t already got a present for Mother’s Day, why not buy your mum a ticket to see an uplifting play which is coming to Derry next month.
‘The Wit and Wisdom of Mi Mother’ tells the story of a Yorkshire coal miner’s daughter, who took to the stage at the age of just 14…and so her travels and adventures began.
The play, which is about the Reflection of Life On A Stage, is a funny, touching memoir of a life lived to the full.
“Teeming with heart and humour, this show will have you mesmerised from minute one as a daughter relates her mother’s journey from the bright lights of the variety halls to her twilight years with a cuppa, carpet slippers and ‘Corrie’ on the box.
The play, written by Julie Kinsella and directed by Colm G Doran, takes place at the Waterside Theatre on Saturday, March 28 at 8 pm.
Tickets are £12, £10 for concession which includes a development fee.
