Banned driver found behind the wheel of this uninsured Ford Escort
He has been arrested for driving this Ford Escort whilst disqualified and having no valid insurance certificate.
Writing on PSNI’s Facebook page, Sgt Rowntree said: “Whilst out on patrol Waterside NPT came across this vehicle today in the Waterside area which was being driven by a Disqualified Driver who was not insured.
“The driver has been arrested and assisting us with our enquiries.
“The vehicle has been seized and taken off the road.
“To those drivers that decide to get behind the wheel of a car and take the risk of driving with no insurance, Waterside NPT will find you.
“At the very minimum you could be looking at a £200 fine plus six penalty points and your vehicle seized for having no insurance.
“You could also end up in court.
“Uninsured drivers are a risk to the public.
“They are costing each and every one of us extra money on our insurance premiums to help pay towards uninsured drivers.”
