Eglinton Eyecare have donated 100 Easter chocolate bars to Kinship Care.
While the practice is closed for all routine eyecare, the team at Eglinton are continuing to provide assistance as best they can under the current guidelines.
Glasses and contact lenses ordered from Eglinton Eyecare are now available for home delivery so that local residents have access to vital eyewear.
The practice is also offering repair and replacement services for damaged and broken frames, which is being carried out remotely and delivered to patients’ homes.
If a patient has an eye health emergency, consultations are available following telephone triage. This is to ensure that those who desperately need care are still able to access it, while keeping everyone’s health and safety in mind.
In addition to providing care where possible, Eglinton Eyecare have also donated 100 Easter chocolate bars to local support group Kinship Care.
The charity is putting food parcels together and delivering them to grandparent carers and their children who need this support.
“We understand that these are uncertain times for everyone, but we know that many people rely on our eye care services for their eye health and to be able to see well,” said Jean Kelly, owner and Optometrist at Eglinton Eyecare.
“We want to reassure our patients that we are still here for you and that you can rely on us for our support whenever possible.
“We also wanted to do something to support the wider community at this time and were pleased to be able to donate chocolate supplies to Kinship Care to help them with their fantastic community work.”
