THE PUBLIC Health Agency has announced on Wednesday that five more people with Coronavirus in the North of Ireland have died.
It brings the North’s death toll so far to 78.
There are 84 new cases and 406 people have been tested since yesterday.
The figures are correct as of Wednesday, April 8 at 11 am.
According to the latest statistics, there so far a total of 52 confirmed cases in the Derry City and Strabane Council area.
One person has died in the council area with COVID-19.
This was a resident at the Owen Mor care home on the city’s Culmore Road who died last week.
A further five patients at the home also tested positive for the Coronavirus.
A total of 936 people have died across the UK in the past 24 hours.
