THE PUBLIC Health Agency has announced a further four deaths in the North of Ireland from COVID-19.
It brings the total number of deaths here so far to 82.
There are 138 new cases and 843 people have been tested since yesterday.
The figures were released by the Public Health Agency and are correct as of 9 April at 11 am.
The death toll across the rest of the UK also continues to rise.
There were a further 81 deaths in Scotland bringing its total now to 447.
In Wales, there were a further 41 deaths with its death toll now at 286
And in England, the death toll is now at 7,248, with a further 765 passing away from COVID- 19.
There has been one confirmed death in Derry.
A patient at Owen Mor care home died last week where a further five patients had also tested positive for Coronavirus.
There are 52 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Derry City and Strabane Council area.
