THE Nerve Centre in Derry says it is using technology in their laboratory to make laser-cut face shields.
These shields are going straight into the hands of frontline workers in the city.
However, volunteers at the arts centreneed more 0.5mm PET or PETG plastic to make more and are appealing for anyone who may have some to get in touch.
In a tweet, the Nerve Centre says: “FACE SHIELD UPDATE> Check out the first batch of 365 shields which went to the Trust yesterday!
“The photo (above) is just a drop in the ocean of what we could produce if we got our hands on more 0.5mm PETG plastic.
“If you or anyone you know has any lying around GET IN TOUCH.”
