THERE have been a further 13 deaths associated with Covid-19 in hospitals in the North of Ireland’s hospitals.
It brings the total so far since the outbreak of the deadly pandemic virus to 263.
The latest figures released by the Department of Health reveal there are 37 patients being treated in intensive care departments for confirmed or suspected cases of the virus.
Some 689 patients are currently being treated for Covid-19, with 2,765 people having been discharged from hospital.
There have been outbreaks in 58 care homes across the North of Ireland.
The number of deaths in care homes up to April 17 will be released on Friday by the NI Statistical Research Agency tomorrow, Friday, April 24.
There are now confirmed 3,016 confirmed cases here of Coronavirus, a rise of 142.
To date, 17.236 have now been tested in the North for COVID-19, an increase of 858.
