ONE of Derry’s biggest charity events has been temporarily been put on hold over the Coronavirus outbreak.
Several thousand people normally take to the streets of the city every year for the Foyle Hospice female walk/run to raise much needed cash.
But like many events, it has now been put on hold due to social distancing because of the lockdown rules.
Foyle Hospice, based on the city’s Culmore Road, says on its Facebook page:
“Female Walk/Run Announcement 🙌
“Our flagship Female Walk/Run which was due to take place on 7th June, will be rescheduled and will take place in the Autumn.
“A date will be confirmed on social media in the coming months.
“Thanks for your support ❤️

In these terrible and difficult times, Foyle Hospice, like all charities, have been struggling to raise funds for the tremendous work they do in the Derry community.
