THE Department of Health has revealed there has been a further nine Covid-19-related deaths in hospitals in the North of Ireland.
It brings the total number of deaths to 338.
But this figure, which relates mainly to hospital fatalities, is likely to rise when deaths which have taken place in care homes, hospices and residential addresses are released this Friday.
The statistics show there were also 55 more cases of coronavirus diagnosed here, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 3,463.
The latest figures reveal that 819 patients are being treated in hospitals for confirmed or suspected cases of Covid-19, with 3,346 people having been discharged, according to the data from the Department of Health.
Thirty Covid-19 patients are in intensive care units.
There have been outbreaks recorded in 69 care homes.
On Wednesday, the British government have revealed that 26,097 people have now died from Coronavirus, which includes deaths in care homes.
