She made her appeal after a large area of green space there was set on fire on Wednesday night and was attended by the Fire and Rescue Service.
Councillor Logue said “I would appeal to whoever was behind this to stop.
“This is one of the few large green spaces in the area and the last thing we need is for this type of environmental vandalism to be taking place.
“It is one of the areas local residents can go for a walk during the corona virus pandemic and are able to be social distancing.
“We also do not want to be putting pressure on our emergency services particularly in the current circumstances.”
