THE Department of Health has announced that a further three deaths related to COVID-19 in the North of Ireland.
It takes their total, mostly comprising of hospital deaths, to 438.
All three of the deaths happened since Sunday.
There have been 20 confirmed deaths from the Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Councial area and around 160 people have tested positive for the deadly virus.
The Department of Health figures are one of two sets published in the North of Ireland.
Nisra publishes every Friday statistics their weekly update.
Their statistics cover all fatalities where Coronavirus has been recorded on the death certificate.
As of Friday, May 1, Nisra had recorded 516 COVID-19 related deaths here.
There are now 19 people being treated in intensive care in the North of Ireland with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19, according to the latest statistics from the Department of Health – that’s a fall from 27 patients on Sunday.
There are 33 intensive care beds still available.
The figures also indicate there are 676 inpatients across 19 hospitals with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.
A total of 5179 people have been admitted to hospital since the pandemic began and 4,503 have been discharged.
A total of 4149 people have tested positive for the virus.
The total number of laboratory completed tests is 40,103.
