THERE have been a further six Coronavirus-related deaths in the North of Ireland reported by the Department of Health (DoH).
Its total now stands at 482 which are mostly focused on hospital deaths.
All of the deaths happened since Sunday.
On Friday, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (Nisra) published figures showing that 599 deaths had been recorded, up to Friday, May 8, in total.
Nisra figures record all deaths where Covid-19 is mentioned on a death certificate.
There have been 20 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Counncil area.
The Department of Health say there have been a total of 163 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the council area.
Today’s update from the Department of Health shows there have now been more than 48,931 tests carried out in the North of Ireland.
A total of 4,401 people have tested positive for Covid-19 – that’s a further 16 new cases confirmed on Monday
Today’s figures show there are 17 patients with suspected or confirmed cases of Covid-19 currently occupying ICU beds, with 40 ICU beds available.
The total number of confirmed outbreaks in care homes is 71, with a further 33 suspected care home outbreaks across the North.
An outbreak is confirmed where at least two residents or staff have had a positive Covid-19 test in the last 14 days.
