THE Department of Health has reported been one further COVID-19 related death since Friday.
It brings its total to 522.
The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths and where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.
The latest figures on the department’s dashboards show a further 13 confirmed positive cases of the virus, bringing that total to 4,709.
There has been a total of 27 death from COVID-19 in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area with over 160 confirmed cases of Coronavirus within the council boundary.
There are two sets of figures published around deaths and positive cases in the North of Ireland.
One is by the Department of Health.
The other is from the NI Statistics and Research Agency
On Friday, Nisra reported up until Friday, May 22, there had been a total of 716 deaths from Coronavirus.
And more than half – 380 (53.1 per cent) of the total had been care home residents.
The numbers also show that deaths involving Coronavirus in the North of Ireland have fallen for the fourth week in a row.
