THE Department of Health has today reported that there has been one further death in the North of Ireland linked to COVID-19 since Saturday.
It bring the DoH total to 523.
The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths and where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.
The latest figures on the department’s dashboard shows a further seven confirmed positive cases of the virus, bringing that total to 4,716.
A total of 27 people have died from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area since the start of the pandemic.
There has also been over 160 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the council area.
Statistics revealed last Friday showed more than half of all deaths here have happened in residential care homes.
