THE Intensive Care Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital has announced it has discharged the last of their Coronavirus patients.
In a tweet, the Western Trust said that all of those discharged had “100% recovered”.
“Well done to our fantastic team in ICU Altnagelvin Hospital on discharging the last of all #COVID19 patients,” the Trust’s tweet stated.
“All of whom are now 100% recovered #WTHeroes.”
Well done to all the staff at the hospital for all their hard work in helping to save lives at this difficult time.
There has been 27 deaths from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
There has also been over 160 recorded cases of the virus in the council area.
