Tierney appalled at arson attack on van in Ballyarnett

SDLP Councillor for Ballyarnett, Councillor Brian Tierney has expressed his shock and dismay after an arson attack which led to a local resident having his van burnt.

Said Councillor Tierney: “I spoke to a local resident this morning who was shocked that his van, the basis of his small business, was burnt last night.

“This has completely destroyed his livelihood and he is rightly devastated. As well as a business, this man is very active in the local community and works hard to support people.

“It is disgraceful he was targeted in this way.

“Anyone with any information should contact the PSNI or Crimestoppers.”
