THE Department of Health has reported that there have been no new Coronavirus-related deaths recorded in the last 24 hours in its daily update.
The figures, which mostly record fatalities in a hospital setting, show there have been a total of 541 deaths during the pandemic.
The new figures show no deaths both in the previous 24 hours, and deaths which have happened in earlier reporting periods but not yet recorded.
The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 now stands at 4,852, according to the department’s figures – an increase of four from the previous day.
There have been 27 confirmed deaths in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Statistics show there have been 177 confirmed cases of Coronavirus within the council boundary area to date.
