It will come as a huge relief for parents across Derry who have had to put on hold the baptism of their children because of the Coronavirus lockdown.
Derry mum Sarah McCourt told BBC Radio Ulster said she had been given a date for the baptism of her twin four-month-old boys, but not without difficulties.
“At the actual ceremony, we’re only allowed about 15 which proves a bit difficult because we’re having to decide who of our close friends and family do we invite,” Sarah told the Good Morning Ulster programme.
“We actually have some friends and family who haven’t met the twins yet because we were shielding them during lockdown.
Speaking on the frustration of other measures being eased during lockdown before baptisms, Mrs McCourt said it’s been “frustrating but the important thing is getting the twins baptised.”
“Myself and my husband are pretty active in our faith and it was really important to us that our boys received the sacrament as soon as possible.
“So when things like shopping centres started opening and there was talk of bars and pubs opening, I was getting really frustrated at the fact I could go out and sit in the pub and have a meal but I couldn’t get my twins christened.
“Thankfully now we have our date that we’re delighted about.”
