THE Department of Health says it has recorded no COVID-19 related deaths in the North of Ireland in the past 24 hours.
That means the number of deaths from the virus remains at 556.
The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths, where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.
One patient with Covid-19 is currently being treated in intensive care at a hospital here.
The latest figures on the department’s dashboard show the total number of confirmed positive cases of the virus now stands at 5,815, an increase of 16 from yesterday.
Four of those have been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
To date there have been 28 deaths from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
The number of people who have tested positive within the council boundary has now rise to 216.
