A spokesperson for Foyle Port in Derry says they are aware of a fire in one of the sheds on site and that the emergency services are dealing with the incident.
A PSNI spokesperon said: “Motorists are advised that the Port Road in Derry is currently closed due to a large fire.
“Please avoid the area.
“Residents in the area are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and to remain indoors.”
