The show was abruptly cancelled in March due to Coronavirus measures.
But 21-year old Brooke Scullion was one of the leading lights who had taken the public by storm.
Speaking ahead of the show’s return, Brooke opened up about what fans can look forward to when she returns to the stage.
“I keep dreaming about the Semi-Final and being able to finally go out on the live stage and perform. I have so many ideas of what I want to do – I want a big production, something that’s going to be so fun to watch and exciting to perform.”
Opening up on her lockdown communications with Voice mentor Meghan Trainor, Brooke said: “She [Meghan] sent me a Birthday message!
“It was my 21st during lockdown, so I couldn’t celebrate properly – but getting a message from Meghan made up for it.
“I can’t wait to see her again and get back to work on the show.”
Brooke, who took part on the NHS charity single alongside her Voice co-stars, has been using her time in lockdown to get creative and work on new music, which she teases could be coming soon, “It’s early stages, but I’m working on something that I’m really excited about and will hopefully be able to share it with everyone soon!”
Earlier this year, Brooke spoke about her joy at reaching the semi-finals of The Voice, a feat she never though she’d achieve. She said: “I feel like I’ve done everybody proud. I feel like at this point I could step away from the competition and be happy with everything that I’ve achieved.
“At the start, I just sort of set out on this show as a joke and had no expectations, and now that I’ve reached the semi-final I feel so whole.
She added: “I feel like every bit of self-doubt that I’ve had is gone. I still can’t believe it – I’ve spent so many weeks thinking and talking about what it would be like to get there, but now that I’m actually here, it’s incredible.
“To be picked out of thousands of people, and for Meghan Trainor – who I admire so much – to have that belief in me, it makes me think that there must be something special about me and that I should keep fighting and striving and singing.”
