THE Department of Health has reported ten new cases of Coronavirus in the North of Ireland in the past 24 hours.
There have been no further deaths linked to COVID-19 in the same 24-hour period and the death toll remains at 559 under the Department’s figures which are mostly deaths in hospitals.
There have now been 6,776 cases of the virus diagnosed in Northern Ireland.
None of the new cases have been within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
Over the past seven days, there have been 29 positive cases within the council boundary.
The death toll within Derry and Strabane Council remains at 29.
In the past week, the biggest spike in cases has been seen in the Mid and East Antrim area, where there have been 95 cases.
Of the ten new cases, four are in the age range of 20 to 39 years, with three in the age bracket between 40 to 59 years, one the age range of under 19, one in the age range of 60-79 and one over 80.
