THE Department of Health has announced a further 176 positive cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours from Coronavirus.
In the last 48 hours a total of 398 people here have tested positive for COVID-19.
To date, a total of 9,341 have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic erupted in March.
According to the latest statistics, 115 people in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area have tested positive in the last seven days.
That’s the fourth highest among all 11 council areas in the North of Ireland.
A total of 29 people to date have died from COVID-19 within the Derry and Strabane council boundary.
No further deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remains at 575 under the Department’s calculations which are mostly in a hospital setting.
The figures show that 21 people are currently in hospital with Coronavirus with four people intensive care being treated for the deadly virus.
There are 27 active COVID-19 outbreaks in care homes with 190 closed care home outbreaks.
