This is in response to the huge hike positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
The new mobile test centre will open at the Magee campus.
Figures released on Sunday by the Department of Health showed that in the last seven days, 316 people in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area had tested positive for Coronavirus – the highest of any council area in the North of Ireland.
In the previous 24 hours, 21 people had tested positive within the council’s boundary – a fall of 45 on the previous days’ figures.
That puts the council’s total to date at 756 – an average of just over 100 cases per days this past week. A further four had an indeterminate test.
The council’s death toll since March remains at 29.
