POLICE say local neighbourhood police arrested a man earlier this week and recovered £2,000 worth of Class B drugs.
Police Derry City and Strabane say on its Facebook pae: “On Tuesday afternoon, Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on our bikes conducting Anti Social Behaviour patrols around St Columb’s Park and Ebrington Square when we noticed something unusual.
“After a few enquiries we detected and seized approximately £2000 of Class B Controlled Drugs.
“A male was arrested for a number of drugs related offences. He has since been charged to appear in court later this month.
“Drugs have no place in our community. Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team along with our colleagues throughout the city will continue to disrupt drugs activity and take illegal, dangerous drugs off our streets.
“We need your help.
“If you have any information in relation to drugs please contact us on the Non-Emergency number 101 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
