The Foyle MLA said: “This is an exciting milestone for the project and for the area.
“It will include a crèche with associated internal play area, offices and meeting space.
“The community hub is to provide a multi-purpose hall, community meeting room, computer suite, health education suite, social area.
“I would like to congratulate the local community for all their hard work.
“I will continue to work with my party colleague Cllr Mickey Cooper and partners to secure match funding to compliment funding already allocated by the council to ensure the area has state of the art community facilities.”
