SINN Féin’s Karen Mullan has led a party delegation to meet the PSNI’s local district commander.
Speaking after attending the meeting with MLA Martina Anderson and local Councillor Christopher Jackson, the Foyle MLA said:
“A party delegation has met with the PSNI’s new District Commander, Darrin Jones.
“We raised the fact that people within our communities have become increasingly concerned and frustrated at some of the tactics being deployed by the PSNI.
“It’s vital that people have assurance that when they contact Police, they will get a response and that their concerns will be addressed.
“There is responsibility on the new District Commander to rebuild confidence and ensure that there is a proper civic, community policing service.”
