THE Alley Theatre will welcome back live music with a series of four live streamed concerts in the run up to Christmas, starting next Friday, November 27.
Over the last 2 years, the Pulse Live Sessions have championed up and coming local artists, however Covid restrictions have prevented them performing to a live audience since the start of this year.
The shows will be broadcast on The Alley Theatre Facebook page and feature music from eight of the best talents that Strabane has to offer, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
Michael Kielty from the Pulse Centre is excited by the return of live music to the venue: ‘”With the current restrictions musicians are unable to play to a live audience so we’re going for the next best thing.
“We have gathered together the best talent from around Strabane and Derry to bring live music back to the Alley stage in the run up to Christmas.”
Jacqueline Doherty, Alley Theatre Venue Manager, added: “Live music is such a big part of our normal programming, particularly at this time of year with various musicians taking to the Alley stage.
“We are all missing live gigs and the experience and enjoyment it brings to our lives, this is why we are delighted to be offering live events digitally.
“Audiences are able to watch from home but still feel they are right there with the musicians, no editing, just great live performances.
“It also gives audiences a chance to experience something new, maybe that they wouldn’t have come to the theatre to watch but find themselves watching from home and may want to attend when we re-open.
“We are delighted Pulse will be live streaming these gigs, Strabane has such a wealth of great musicians, over the coming weeks you can look forward to seeing Lore, Lauren Bird, Darren Doherty and many more perform live from the stage.”
Pulse Live Sessions From the Alley will take place every Friday night 27th November – 18th December at 8pm, live on the Alley Theatre Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/thealleytheatre
