A 33-year-old man remains in police custody as part of a police investigation into UDA criminal activity in Derry.
He was one of two men were arrested in Derry on Wednesday morning as part of an probe.
Both were arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
They were taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Custody Suite for questioning.
The 46-year-old man has now been released from custody, say police.
UPDATE at 5.50 pm: Police this evening say detectives have been granted a further 24 hours to question the 33 year old man and he remains in custody at this time.
