Icy cemeteries temporarily closed for gritting

DERRY City and Strabane District Council has said that a number of its cemeteries are temporarily closed this morning due to the icy conditions.

The council say the City, Alnagelvin and Ballyoan cemeteries will shut for a period while the paths and roads are gritted.

Apologising for the inconvenience, a council spokesperson added that the cemeteries will reopen to the public as soon as the salting has been completed.
