THE Department of Health has announced a further 1,145 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have been a further 19 deaths (none outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,517.
None of those deaths have been recorded in the Derry and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 8,325 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 52 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a fall of 16 on figures for Monday.
Within the past week there have been a further 477 COVID-19 cases.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,172 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 106 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is up to 99 per cent.
There are currently 869 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 56 patients currently in intensive care and 40 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 142 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 447 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
