THE Department of Health has reported a further 732 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of 173 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further 21 deaths (five outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,692.
None of these deaths has been recorded in the Derry and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 5,563 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 38 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a rise of nine on figures for Tuesday.
Within the past week there have been a further 238 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,462 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 116 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals remains at 96 per cent.
There are currently 806 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 70 patients currently in intensive care and 58 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 136 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 467 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
