THE Department of Health has reported a further 592 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of 65 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further 13 deaths (two outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,792.
Sadly, one of these deaths has been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 4,066 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 27 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a rise of 11 of on figures reported for Tuesday.
Within the past week there have been a further 160 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,619 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 123 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now at 923 per cent.
There are currently 768 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 67 patients currently in intensive care and 57 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 126 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 492 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
