THE Department of Health has announced a further 669 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of 77 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further 22 deaths (four outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,814.
None of these latest deaths has been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 3,991 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 27 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, the same number as reported for Wednesday.
Within the past week there have been a further 147 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,646 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 123 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now at 92 per cent.
There are currently 745 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 67 patients currently in intensive care and 54 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 127 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 491 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
