The pair faced Derry Magistrates’ Court following their arrest on Wednesday evening by PCTF detectives.
Police said cocaine with a street value of around £80,000 was seized during the pro-active operation against the criminal activities of the INLA in the city.
A large quantity of cash running to “tens of thousands of pounds” was seized and is still being counted by PCTF detectives.
Detectives revealed that a cocaine press and a “high end” vehicle were also recovered during four separate searches in the Bogside and Pennyburn.
Two men, aged 48 and 31, appeared at the local Bishop Street courthouse this morning for a first remand hearing.
The court heard the 48-year-old is a frontline worker in the health service.
Both men were granted anonymity because of the threat in Derry to those allegedly involved in the drugs trade.
They are both charged with supplying Class A drugs and the possession of criminal property.
Police objected to the defendants being released on bail.
The deputy district judge refused bail and both men were remanded in custody to the high security Maghaberry prison until February 25.
