THE Department of Health has reported a further 504 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of 57 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further 11 deaths (two outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,889.
None of these latest deaths have been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 3,404 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 30 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a rise of eight for figures reported for Monday.
Within the past week there have been a further 146 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,743 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 126 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now up 96 per cent.
There are currently 701 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 65 patients currently in intensive care and 60 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 106 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 517 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
