THE Department of Health has reported a further 390 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of 116 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further seven deaths (two outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,922.
None of these latest deaths have been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 3,070 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 19 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a fall of five for figures reported for Thursday.
Within the past week there have been a further 156 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,810 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 126 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now at 94 per cent.
There are currently 602 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 67 patients currently in intensive care and 59 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 98 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 528 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
