THE Department of Health has reported a further 336 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of 61 cases on the previous day.
There have been a further four deaths (none outside the current reporting period) from the deadly virus bringing the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, to 1,957.
None of these latest deaths have been recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 2,596 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 14 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a fall of two on figures reported for Monday.
Within the past week there have been a further 136 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 10,871 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 127 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all 11 councils in the North of Ireland.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals iremains at 96 per cent.
There are currently 544 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 61 patients currently in intensive care and 57 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of 83 care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 548 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
