A yellow warning for snow is in place across Northern Ireland until 10 pm tonight, Saturday, February 13.
Transport has been disrupted and sporting fixtures called off, with people advised to only make necessary journeys.
travellers have been warned to expect slippery, icy conditions and possible blizzards due to strong winds, with advice being issued to stay at home.
Driving conditions are said to be difficult on the Glenshane Pass.
A few centimetres of snow is likely to accumulate even at lower levels on Saturday, with perhaps as much 10 to 15 cms over higher hills.
In the Republic of Ireland there is also yellow weather warning for snow in most areas.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind for counties Down and Antrim from 4 am to 11.59 pm on Sunday, February 14.
Met Éireann has issued an orange warning for wind for counties Donegal, Mayo and Dublin, warning of the risk of “coastal flooding”.
The rest of the country is subject to a yellow warning.
About 3,200 homes and businesses remain without power in the Republic.
