SINN Féin’s Karen Mullan has welcomed progress on the roll out of vaccines to people across Derry.
Said the Foyle MLA: “After being contacted by people over 70s and others who have family members with severe complex needs, I made representation to officials at the Department of Health for an update on the vaccine roll-out in Derry.
“I am pleased to hear that the over 80-year-olds should have received the first dose from their GP alongside progress on getting out to those over 70.
“They have also indicated that by the end of February, the 65-69 and 70-79 age groups and the clinically extremely vulnerable can be vaccinated at their local vaccine centre.
“This is promising news and a step in the right direction, if you are in any of the above categories and haven’t been offered the vaccine by the end of February, you can get in touch with me on 028 71 377 551.”
