DERRY City and Strabane District Council has advised that its Bishop Street Car Park will close temporarily from next week to facilitate resurfacing works.
The car park will close temporarily from Wednesday, March 24, to Thursday, April 1, to accommodate these essential works.
Signage has been erected in advance of contractors accessing the site to alert regular users of the arrangements and to signpost them to alternative car parking facilities at other city centre car parks across the city.
These included Foyle Valley Railway Centre Car Park at Foyle Road, William Street Car Park, Victoria Market Car Park at Strand Road and the Foyle Street Car Park adjacent to the Peace Garden.
Apologising for any inconvenience caused, a spokesperson for the Council said the work was necessary and when completed would provide a new and improved road surface.
