THE Department of Health has reported a further 137 more cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of 32 cases on figures given yesterday for wednesday.
There has been thr further death from the deadly virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,103.
This latest death was not recorded in the Dery City and Strabane District Council area.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 1,102 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 22 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours, a rise of seven on the previous day.
Within the past week there have been a further 97 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 11,390 positive cases within the council boundary.
The Department has now recorded a total of 134 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all 11 councils in the North of Ireland.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now at 98 per cent.
There are currently 166 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, with 16 patients currently in intensive care and 14 patients who are on ventilators.
A total of eight care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 634 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
