THE Department of Health has reported a further 98 cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of ten on figures given on yesterday for Tuesday.
There has been two further deaths from the deadly virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,123.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 535 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 18 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council in the past 24 hours.
Within the past week there have been a further 86 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 11,657 positive cases within the council boundary – the fourth highest among all 11 councils in the North.
The Department has recorded a total of 135 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all 11 councils here.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now up to 101 cent.
There are currently 102 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, 12 of whom are being treated in intensive care with nine patients on ventilators.
A total of five care homes are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 645 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
